Your People are Your Company. What differentiates the top 20% of performers is their Emotional Intelligence (EQ)

We've DISCOVERED a BREAKTHROUGH WAY to APPLY SOFT SKILLS that DELIVER REAL BUSINESS RESULTS

Christine Miles’ story begins growing up in rural Hershey Pennsylvania in what seemed like a pretty idyllic childhood, but what most people didn’t know, was that she had a mother who suffered with psychological issues, including depression and anxiety. She learned at a very young age to pay attention to emotional cues, listen, and truly understand and empathize with others’ pain.

Christine spent the first 5 years of her career as a family systems therapist, these early experiences taught her how to affect people in a system to work together to transform and find a better way of functioning. At the age of 26, she began working for an Employee Assistance Program running the organizational development arm of the business; selling, designing and delivering training.

Her life was on an uphill trajectory… married, building career, playing competitive field hockey when on her way to work one day, she was hit by another car that left her in chronic pain. From this very difficult time, came two important realizations …first, not everyone was taught the emotional skills of listening, understanding, empathizing and communicating. Second, she needed to become an entrepreneur like her father so she could work while fighting her way back to a healthy life.

Christine started an executive coaching consulting business, to Fortune 500 companies, helping companies grow sales and revenue, developing people and creating transformative cultures. In late 2018, Christine decided it was time to parlay all of her experiences together and formed EQuipt, LLC., a women-owned business focused on teaching HOW to develop emotional intelligence (EQ). By working with key strategic partners, we bring to the organization whatever they need to not only transform their people, but to deliver transformative results.

My story begins with the word curiosity. I have a deep curiosity for people and their stories that began at age 4. My father worked in academia, specifically in development and fundraising, so I was raised in that environment. I remember regularly attending formidable fundraising dinners at a very young age. Standing on a chair in my little knee socks, I learned how to carry on conversations with adults. This early introduction to communication with people shaped who I am and what I do today.
